NOMINATIONS AND ELECTION OF SCEA OFFICERS (VICE-PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY / TREASURER)

According to our BYLAWS Article IX Section 1. Election & Appointments

The Vice President and the Secretary / Treasurer Shall be elected in odd years. The candidate receiving the Highest number of votes for each office shall be declared elected to such office for a term of two (2) years from and after the date of installation, which shall occur in the month of January. Each Officer shall serve until a successor has been elected and installed. The Board of Directors are elected in November each year or can be appointed in vacancy exists prior to or after election period and no challenger.

It is often asked how a member can become more involved or participative in the union. This is perfect timing. Your local Affiliate SCEA is in need of your participation. The Secretary / Treasurer position is currently vacant, and we have some Board of Director seats that are vacant. Please consider filling a seat.

You will receive another email within a couple of weeks detailing the dates and time of this process; open and close dates. nominations, voting, what process will be used for voting.
